Letters to Paul Eno

Think you have a ghost problem?

PAUL F. ENO, who has been called "the most intelligent voice in paranormal research today," is an award-winning New England journalist, a graduate of two seminaries, and holds a rare Ph.B in philosophy. He and his son, Ben, host the new international radio talk show Behind the Paranormal with Paul & Ben Eno

Paul began his long career as a paranormal investigator in 1970 while studying for the priesthood. His early mentors included parapsychology pioneer Dr. Louisa Rhine, Fr. John J. Nicola S.J. (technical advisor for the film The Exorcist) and legendary, first-generation ghost hunters Ed & Lorraine Warren.

His first major case ("Connecticut's Village of Voices" FACES AT THE WINDOW, p. 48) captured the imagination of readers around the world when he wrote about it in FATE Magazine in 1985. Other famous cases he has been involved with include the Bridgeport, Conn., poltergeist outbreak of 1974 (FACES AT THE WINDOW, p. 10), the mind-blowing "Haunter" case of York, Maine, in 1978 (FOOTSTEPS IN THE ATTIC, p. 30) and the haunting of Wistman's Wood, England, in 1989 (FOOTSTEPS IN THE ATTIC, p. 41)

Eno is the author of seven books, including FACES AT THE WINDOW (New River Press, 1998 – now in its second printing), FOOTSTEPS IN THE ATTIC (New River Press, 2002) and TURNING HOME: GOD, GHOSTS AND HUMAN DESTINY (2006). FOOTSTEPS was Bookreview.com’s “New Age Book of the Month” for December 2002. His upcoming: DANCING PAST THE GRAVEYARD: WHAT GHOSTS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT GOD is slated for release in 2011.

Eno is much in demand as a talk-show guest around the nation, and has presented his interactive programs on the paranormal all over America and in Europe. He has appeared on the Travel, Discovery and History Channels, and multiple times on "Coast to Coast A.M." (30 million listeners) with Art Bell and George Noory. His unusually long experience in the field, his hair-raising adventures with famous hauntings, along with his utterly unique, riveting theories about the paranormal and its meaning for our understanding of the world and ourselves, draw capacity crowds wherever he speaks. His audiences love his wit, and are always moved by his compassion, his message of deathless hope, and the accounts of families he has helped.

A fellow of the American Society for Psychical Research and a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, Eno holds a rare Ph.B degree from Wadhams Hall Seminary College. He went on to do postgraduate work in theology, philosophy, psychology, history, literature, military science and international law. Graduate schools he attended included Trinity College, Hartford, Conn.; and St. Vladimir Orthodox Theological Seminary, New York.

He has been a news editor at The Providence Journal, and a managing editor, reporter and feature writer at several other newspapers and magazines in the Northeast. Articles by him have appeared in Yankee, Fate, Pursuit, American History Illustrated, and other national magazines in America and Britain.

A true "Renaissance man," Eno also is a writer on history, and his 2005 book RHODE ISLAND: A GENIAL HISTORY, written with Emmy Award-winning local television newsman Glenn Laxton, immediately attracted the attention of the History Channel, which taped segments with Eno for its special on the New England Hurricane of 1938 (2006) and its series on the histories of the 50 U.S. states (2008).

In addition, Eno has guest-lectured at journalism schools, has been a panelist at press-association conferences, and has spoken nationally on topics such as "how to be a successful freelance writer" and "getting good press."

In 2010, Paul and his youngest son and understudy, Benjamin T. Eno, began working with renowned documentary director/producer Rob Cohen on a revolutionary 3-D network television series on the paranormal. More information as that develops.

Eno works as a full-time writer, editor and broadcaster from his Rhode Island home, where he lives with his wife of 29 years, Jackie, and their sons Jonathan and Benjamin.

BENJAMIN T. ENO, 19, is the youngest syndicated radio talk show host in America and the youngest internationally recognized paranormal expert in the world. A recent graduate of Mount St. Charles Academy in Rhode Island, Ben is Paul Eno's youngest son and understudy. He is attending the Community College of Rhode Island so he can remain close to his father and their increasing media activities.
